Wednesday marked National Nurses Day and the start of National Nurses Week 2020. May 12 marks International Nurses Day across the globe, which is also Florence Nightengale’s birthday.

The first Nurses Week was observed between October 11 through October 16, 1954, to mark the 100th anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s mission to Crimea, according to the American Nurses Association.

Nurses around the country are being recognized for all of their contributions and hard work that they do to save lives and take care of patients—especially as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to ravage the nation and the world.

Intiva Health always offers a wide variety of free CEUs for nurses. Our courses are accredited and always free. Stay on top of those required credits before you have to renew your license! Browse our course offering, filtered by license and state, on our website.
