Movember: Changing The Face of Men’s Health
Category: Healthcare Industry
IN A NUTSHELL:
- Movember is held during the month of November
- To participate people grow a mustache for men’s health awareness
- Started in 2003 in Australia, now in 20 countries
The month of November is upon us and you may start seeing mustaches on people that don’t usually have them.
Growing a new stache could be a protection against the cold weather, but it is also an opportunity for a good cause. The initiative, known as “Movember,” works to raise awareness about men’s health issues.
Movember is a nonprofit organization that seeks to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health. The group focuses on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention.
Movember started in Melbourne, Australia in 2003. It is now seen around the globe every Nov. 1 through Nov. 30, with campaigns in 20 countries.
As of today, Movember is the only global charity focused solely on men’s health.
No matter the style, whether it be English, Pencil, Handlebar, Horseshoe, or Walrus, people have the opportunity to raise funds and awareness about men’s health with a new look during Movember
